My name is Maria, born in the 80s, lived all my life in south of Berlin, south of germany, north of germany. The past three years I spent far north in Iceland. And now I am living back home in the north again. Some call me the girl from the north. I call many places my home and home is were your heart is, somewhere between mountains and the sea, between green moss and black lava landscapes, between the Kiel fjord and the beautiful lakes close to there, between sreaming seagulls, happy sheep and wild horses.
I love to see the world through my eyes and through a lense, I love music, beloved people, moony nights, New York, northern lights, rainbows, sleep until I am not tired anymore, cheesecake, the rabbits in the parks of Hamburg, remembering good times in my favorite Hamburg bar Hasenschaukel, I like to drink wine in Kaffibarinn in Reykjavík, the weather in Kiel, the farmers market one footstep away, the midnight sun, fresh snow, birds in the sky.
I don’t like: missed chances, barriers, blushing, thunder storms, loud cars, red traffic lights, unfairness, racism, homophobia, sexism, xenophobia, tiredness, people who are standing on the escalator at the wrong side and silverfish.
